AtmoWorks is proud to announce the addition of mara's torment to our growing list of talented artists, and to offer "across for show" as the debut AW release.
mara's torment is the musical project of rik maclean. Inspired by a hundred wishes, a thousand dreams, and a million stars, mara's torment makes music equally suitable for falling asleep or for lying awake wondering. It's music that's equal parts intimate and sexy and isolating and solitary. It's music your cat will love, but don't ever expect her to admit it... "across for show..." was first released in 1999. Produced over a two month stretch of depression-induced creativity the original recordings were pulled at the last minute before production and replaced with a more upbeat collection of work. This tenth anniversary reissue presents "across for show..." in its original form for the very first time. AtmoWorks is thrilled to welcome mara's torment to our family of artists, and to be a part of this release!
